  Call For Speakers
 

We invite you to submit a presentation for the Engage! Expo (formerly the Virtual Worlds Conference) to be held in in New York City, March 10-11, 2009. The call is open until November 14, 2008 after that time we will still accept submissions on a rolling basis in case our speaker needs change.

Please review the details below & on our front page before submitting your proposal.

Subjects covered at Engage! include kids worlds, social media, games, virtual goods (micro-transactions), tween and teen-oriented virtual worlds, 3D Web advertising and licensing strategies.

Target Audience

cVirtual worlds are rapidly being adopted by toy companies, media, entertainment, and advertising companies as a way to generate new revenue and further engage audiences. Forward thinking brands and agencies are aligning themselves with high-quality virtual worlds franchises in order to further engage consumers. Engage! Expo will feature expert presentations, case studies and panel discussions that cover virtual worlds strategy, implementation and best practice insights.

Target Speakers

We are looking for active practitioners who are experts in their respective fields to share specific content that the attendees will be able take to away and immediately apply to their businesses.

Conference Content

Engage! Expo is focused on consumer oriented virtual worlds platforms, applications and customers. Topic categories will include detailed virtual world business strategy, technology and community and customer service discussions.

Engage! Expo programming will incorporate sessions focused on public virtual worlds:- those worlds consumed and used by the general public or segments of the public such as adults, kids, students, etc...

Speakers should be active practitioners in their fields. All presentations should be 60 minutes in length except for 30 minute case studies.

To be considered as a speaker, please fill out our Speaker Submission Form.  Because speakers are confirmed on a rolling basis, we encourage prospective speakers to submit their proposals as soon as possible.

             60-minute Lecture
             60-minute Panel
             60-minute case study
             30-minute case study
11. Title of your presentation
12. What virtual world platforms will be referenced in your session
13. Audience level (All, Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced)
14. Additional speakers in your session, if any
15. Presentation description (100 words)
16. Intended audience and prerequisites (50 words)
17. The takeaway from this presentation. (e.g. What will attendees learn?) (50 words)
